I have recently been contacted by a bride-to-be to make bespoke fascinators for her and her 3 bridesmaids.
She’d seen my work in Made in Stroud and loved the vintage style fascinators with net, like the one pictured above – perfect for Kathryn as it looks suitably bridal without having to wear a full on veil.
The dress is a stunning vintage one, dating from 1929, and the bridesmaids, Kaz, Sophie and Becky, are having dresses made which are a 20s, dropped waist style, and each is a different, block colour. Initial thoughts of the girls having similar fascinators, with cream feathers and jewellery, soon went out the window when we got them all together and their different styles and personalities took over!
I enjoy working on commissions, it takes a lot of time, with consultations, and extra effort to source the materials required, but the results are totally unique, and bring great satisfaction to everyone involved!
Congratulations. Sounds so exciting, can’t wait to see the finished products!
